The Bible was the inspired word of God and authoritative for the early theological institutions of the South Pacific. It was its central text book and the knowledge of its teaching was held to be essential for a lasting gospel witness.
But with the passing of years, the purpose of these early theological colleges of the region changed. German liberalism, American Neo-orthodoxy, Humanism, tribalism and other philosophies have taken over our theological colleges. This has eroded the authority of the word of God with a resultant increase in spiritual ignorance and insipid gospel witness.
A believer who is committed to Christ and desires to serve God should consider carefully the importance of the word of God in his/her life preparation. Usefulness to God comes from a love for God which is marked by yieldness and obedience to Him. These important and indispensible qualities are only developed through a knowledge of and submission to the word of God.
The purpose of College of Theology & Evangelism Fiji is to train men for life and ministry by building their education on the word of God. Our prayer for those who graduate from the College is that they would uphold the authority of the word of God and proclaim the crucified and risen Christ as the only way to God.
The John Ridley Lectures this year was conducted by Rev. Greg Stephenson, a graduate of The Masters Seminary, USA.
We have collated a few pictures of the 2015 Graduation ceremony.
